Ingredients
- Radhuni haleem mix (1 packet)
- Chopped onion (1 cup)
- Beef (500 g)
- Ginger paste (1 teaspoon)
- Garlic paste (1 teaspoon)
- Green cardamom (3)
- Oil (1 cup)
- Cinnamon (3 pieces)
- Cloves (3)
- Salt (to taste)
- Julienned ginger (for serving)
- Chopped green chilies (for serving)
- Chopped cucumber (for serving)
- Lemon (for serving)
Method
- Pour the grain packet from the Radhuni haleem mix into a bowl and soak in water for 30 minutes to 1 hour. In another pot, fry some of the chopped onion in oil until golden and crispy. Set the fried onions aside.
- Wash 500 g beef and marinate it with the spice packet from the haleem mix, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger paste, garlic paste, and salt. Let it rest for 15 minutes. In a large pot, heat oil and fry the remaining onion until lightly browned. Add the marinated beef and cook, stirring, until the meat is tender. Add water as needed so the spices do not burn.
- Once the meat is cooked, add the soaked grains and cook until they are tender. Keep cooking until the haleem reaches your preferred thickness.
- Serve hot topped with julienned ginger, chopped cucumber, green chilies, fried onions, and a wedge of lemon.
