Ingredients
- All-purpose flour (1.5 cups)
- Butter (1 tablespoon)
- Eggs (2)
- Milk (1 cup)
- Sugar (2 tablespoons)
- Baking powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Vanilla essence (1/2 teaspoon)
- Icing sugar (1 tablespoon)
Method
- Melt the butter. In a bowl, combine the melted butter with all ingredients except the icing sugar to make a fairly thin batter. Heat a pan very well and pour in the entire batter. Cook over medium heat. When bubbles form on the surface and no raw batter is visible on top, flip it over. After 2–3 minutes, tear the whole pancake into small pieces with a spatula.
- Transfer to a plate and sprinkle with icing sugar while still hot. Serve with strawberry or raspberry jam.
