Canned Tuna Mash
Back home I loved takki fish mash, but fresh takki is hard to find here. Tuna is widely available, so wherever you are, here is a tuna mash recipe.

Ingredients
- Canned tuna (1 can — 190 grams)
- Onion (1)
- Dried chilies (4–5)
- Mustard oil (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Cilantro (to taste)
Method
- First, drain the tuna from the can and squeeze out as much liquid as possible. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the tuna for 2–3 minutes. A light fry is enough — it removes the raw fish smell.
- Lightly fry diced onion in the pan. You can also use raw onion for this mash if you prefer. Fry the dried chilies as well. In a bowl, mash together onion, dried chilies, cilantro, and salt. Add mustard oil to taste and the tuna, and mash until well combined.
